Description
After the pick-up from the hotel you will drive from Dubrovnik along the coastal road to PeljeÅ¡ac and KorÄula. The first stop is in historic town Ston, famous for its medieval city walls medieval saltworks. After a walking tour and break in Ston you will continue to the central part of PeljeÅ¡ac. After a short photo-break near famous Partisan memorial on the hillside above Trstenik you'll come to the nearby village Kuna PeljeÅ¡ka.
This picturesque place has a rich history which is closely tied to the local Franciscan monastery and notable painter Mato Celestin Medović who was born in this village. One of the must-see places is also the Family Farm Antunović. This family runs a traditional restaurant called konoba and offers local dishes such as homemade bread, roasted veal, lamb, pork or goat under the lid, home-made prosciutto, cheese, olives... You'll have the opportunity to taste these delicious traditional meals, as well as home-made liqueurs, brandies and high-quality red wines. After lunch you'll visit the animal farm run by the same family and enjoy the rural ambience surrounded by beautiful domestic animals, such as donkeys, cows, sheep, goats, and find out many details about the traditional lifestyle in Pelješac.
It's followed by a ride to the small port town Orebić, known for its maritime tradition and as home of numerous captains whose luxury houses still grace the city center.
After a short walking tour and free time in Orebić you'll visit the abandoned village Nakovana and see intact stone houses, linked by pathways and shuttered by locked doors and windows.
The last part of the tour is the transfer to Dubrovnik and drop-off at your hotel. The duration of this tour is around 10 hours.
