Description
The rural household Novaković is situated in Čilipi, small village close to the Dubrovnik Airport. It's run by the Novaković family. The first mention of this family in archival records dates back to the 14th century. The family inherited the large estate from its hard working ancestors and also the obligation to care for it during their lifetime. However, it's is much more than a traditional restaurant. Periodically it stages live performances of different musicians, usually involving dancers dressed in traditional costumes. Visitors of this place can also enjoy a small garden with agricultural exhibits and stables with farm animals. There are also a small ethno-museum dedicated to the history of the Konavle region, wine cellar, tavern and a small store with exhibits.
The gastronomic offer of Seoska kuća Novaković is very rich and it won't leave you indifferent. Fresh, locally grown products are prepared according to old recipes of Novaković Family. This includes mainly meat and vegetable dishes. In addition to homemade cheese, prosciutto, brandy, wine and olive oil, which are typical products in local restaurants, Seoska kuća Novaković has a special offer for beer lovers: homemade craft beer brands ‘Gornja i Donja Banda’ (Black Ipa and Pale Ale).
