Description

Pelješac is the second largest peninsula in Croatia, and is about 50 km away from Dubrovnik. It's famous for oyster farming, high-quality red wines, salt production and one of the longest city walls in the world.
On this excursion you will visit local fisherman and join him on oyster picking at his oyster beds. You will also taste some oysters and local wine.
After tasting delicious seafood it's time for workout. You will walk along the monumental walls of Ston, one of the longest city walls in the world. Walking along these high and steep walls is very exciting, of course, if you are not afraid of heights. If so, and if you have health problems, you better skip this activity.
Upon arrival in Ston you'll visit medieval salt pans which are still active today. Hear a story about the methods of salt production and about the historical significance of this place for the economy of this area.
Except for salt pans, Pelješac is famous for high-quality red wines. You will have the opportunity to taste red varietals produced and presented in prominent family winery near Ston. Snacks are
included, too. After the visit of winery you will return to Ston and have a guided walking tour, see narrow medieval streets and churches, have a cup of coffee or tea and taste delicious fish or/and seafood in traditional restaurant in Ston.
